I think there is no doubt that 2012 was another hard year for Crafters and Craft Fair organisers. The general economic situation plus the atrocious “summer” weather made life very difficult, specially especially for those organising outdoor / marquee events.
So if you are an organiser or crafter and you’re still in business you’ve done really well.
So now we look forward to the 2013 season with a little trepidation. Although we are assured the economy if on its way back up no one has any idea yet what the weather has in store for us again although it would need to be pretty bad to be worse than this year. Surely it’s time we had a good summer in the UK!
To all the organisers we suggest you submit your fairs to this calendar and other similar services on the net. More and more people are turning to the internet to plan their weekends activities so the more listings you have the better. If you are a crafter it will also benefit you to help with this on-line publicity. If you have a Facebook page, are a member of a forum or even have your own website don’t forget to promote the fairs you are going to attend.
